Navy Radiological Affairs Support Office Inspection of Treasure Island 15 April 1974

RADIOLOGICAL AFFAIRS SUPPORT OFFIC E
REPORT OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE VISIT
TO NAVAL SCHOOLS COMMAND, TREASURE
ISLAND, SAN FRANCISCO, -CALIFORNIA
15 APRIL 1974

Whereas the Navy denies that there were no radiological materials used on Treasure Island despite finding 90 REMS per year, this report in its entirety indicates the use of several radioactive isotopes in the training including Plutonium and Cesium137. Someone in the Navy is lying and the result is homeless people living inside the Radioactive Isotope Vault and other radioactive areas. The signs warning of the radiation depended on electricity and so they are not present today, neither are the regular radiation signs that should be present. this negligence is a violation of the law. the Navy has to answer to that law!
